Airport Transfers in Edinburgh City Centre
Edinburgh City Centre to Edinburgh Airport is about 8 miles, usually 25–35 minutes depending on the time of day and the route out past Corstorphine and Gogar. I'll suggest a pickup time when you book that allows for the morning rush and roadworks on the A8. On arrivals I meet you in the terminal, help with your bags and take you straight to your hotel or apartment door, including the Old Town streets the tram doesn't reach.

Cruise Ship Transfers in Edinburgh City Centre
Cruise passengers arriving in Edinburgh usually come ashore at Leith, Newhaven or the Hawes Pier tender landing in South Queensferry. Leith and Newhaven are 15–20 minutes from the city centre, and South Queensferry about 30 minutes. I can collect you from the port for a day in the city, take you from your hotel to the ship on embarkation day, or run you between the port and the airport with all your luggage.

The city centre hosts some of Scotland's most sought-after wedding venues: The Balmoral, Prestonfield House, The Caves, Mansfield Traquair, the Signet Library and dozens of churches and registry ceremonies. Getting a wedding party through Edinburgh traffic takes local knowledge. I plan each run around closures and one-way streets, so the groom's party, bridesmaids and family all arrive on time.

Edinburgh has three crematoria serving the city: Warriston in the north, Mortonhall in the south and Seafield near Leith Links. I provide quiet, unhurried transport for family to the service, following the cortege if you wish, then on to the reception. Seven seats means close family can travel together. Call me at any time to talk through what you need.

Edinburgh City Centre has no shortage of places to celebrate, from fine dining on George Street to a show at the Festival Theatre or the Playhouse. I'll collect the whole party, drop you at the door and bring everyone home afterwards. For a surprise, I can pick up from one address and take you somewhere the birthday guest doesn't expect.

Graduation day in Edinburgh is busy: the University of Edinburgh holds ceremonies at the McEwan Hall, and Edinburgh Napier, Heriot-Watt and Queen Margaret graduate thousands every year. I can bring visiting family from the airport or their hotel to the ceremony and on to dinner afterwards. For school proms, groups of up to seven travel together, and parents get a licensed, PVG-checked driver.

Musselburgh Racecourse is about 20–25 minutes east of the city centre, making it one of the easiest race days in Scotland to reach. Kelso and Hamilton Park are an easy day out too. I'll drop your group at the gates and collect you after the last race, so nobody has to queue for a lift or skip the champagne.

From the city centre, the great links of East Lothian are within an hour: Muirfield, Gullane, North Berwick and the Renaissance Club. St Andrews is around an hour and a quarter, and Gleneagles about an hour. Closer to home, Bruntsfield Links, the Braid Hills and Royal Burgess are all within 15 minutes. The V-Class takes a four-ball with clubs and bags comfortably.

I run private day trips to the Highlands and Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle, the Kelpies, St Andrews, Rosslyn Chapel and Outlander locations such as Midhope Castle and Linlithgow Palace. The city centre is Edinburgh's business heart, from St Andrew Square and Festival Square to the EICC and Quartermile. I run airport transfers for executives, roadshows between client meetings, and evening transport after conferences and dinners. A V-Class works as a mobile meeting room for a small team travelling together.

Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket are the city's two main stations. I'll meet you off the train with your luggage and take you to your hotel or onward to the airport, or take you to the station in good time for an LNER, Avanti or CrossCountry departure. A car is far easier than the steps and slopes around Waverley when you have heavy cases.
