Edinburgh Cruise Ship Transfers — Leith, Newhaven & South Queensferry

Cruise Ship Transfers
Edinburgh cruise transfers should be the easy part of your holiday. I collect cruise passengers from Leith, Newhaven and South Queensferry (Hawes Pier) and take them to Edinburgh city centre, Edinburgh Airport (EDI), their hotel or a private tour — all in a 7-seat Mercedes-Benz V-Class with room for cruise luggage.
Edinburgh cruise transfers: the terminals I serve
Larger ships berth at the Port of Leith or anchor off South Queensferry, tendering passengers ashore at Hawes Pier beneath the Forth Bridge. Smaller expedition vessels sometimes use Newhaven. Each has its own logistics, and I know the pickup points, the timings of tender boats and where a car can legally wait.
Tell me your ship and the date, and I'll check the schedule and plan the pickup around your disembarkation time.
Port to Edinburgh city
From Leith it's a short run into the Old Town and New Town; from South Queensferry, around half an hour depending on traffic. Many cruise passengers spend a day or two in Edinburgh before or after sailing, so I'm happy to drop you at your hotel, wait while you check in, or take you straight to the Royal Mile.
Port to Edinburgh Airport
South Queensferry is one of the closest cruise ports to any UK airport — Edinburgh Airport is only a few miles away. From Leith, the journey crosses the city. Either way, I plan in plenty of time for disembarkation queues so you don't feel rushed for your flight home.

One car, one driver
The person you book with is the person who drives you.
Group and luggage capacity
Cruise travellers rarely travel light. The V-Class seats seven in leather comfort and takes a genuine week's worth of luggage, so two couples travelling together can share one vehicle comfortably. If you're carrying more than usual, tell me and I'll confirm it fits before you book.
I'm a licensed chauffeur and PVG certified, and the car is spotless and air-conditioned — a pleasant first impression of Scotland after a sea day.
Private Shore Excursions from Leith, Newhaven & South Queensferry
If you have a day in port, I can turn it into a private shore excursion. Popular choices are a half-day tour of Edinburgh's highlights, Rosslyn Chapel or the Kelpies, or a longer day to the Outlander filming locations at Midhope, Blackness and Linlithgow.
I plan every excursion backwards from your all-aboard time, keep an eye on traffic throughout and get you back to the ship on time, with a sensible margin built in.
Booking your cruise transfer
Send me your ship name, sailing date, the number of passengers and where you're heading, and I'll come back with a fixed price. Cruise season gets busy, so earlier bookings are recommended. I can also combine a transfer with a short tour of Edinburgh or the Forth Bridges on the way.

Booking is personal and straightforward. Send me the date, times, pickup and drop-off addresses and how many people are travelling — by phone, WhatsApp or the quote form. I'll reply with a fixed price, usually within the hour. Once you're happy, I confirm the booking in writing and message you the day before with the details. On the day, I arrive early in the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, help with luggage and drive you calmly to your destination. There are no meters, no booking fees and no surprises.
I'm a licensed chauffeur and PVG certified, the car is fully insured for hire, and all major cards are accepted. Because there is only one car and one driver, I can only take one booking at a time — so the earlier you get in touch, the better.
